TRINE Issue 005

June 2021

Welcome to TRINE Issue 005!

At TRINE we stand with all those that are oppressed, from Columbia to Palestine.

Artists, designers, creatives and changemakers; we encourage you to use your gifts and resources to affect positive change and create spaces for the communities that are so often excluded from the creative cannon.

The two biggest lies we have been sold are 1) that there is not room for everyone to enjoy success and 2) that some voices are less important than others.

Let’s work together to prove them wrong.

Sending you love, light and abundance,

Shasti

Curator, Creative and Agent of Change

Key Astrological Transits for June

Thursday 3rd June ~ Sun trine Saturn retrograde (Rx) (Gemini - Aquarius 13 degrees)

Today’s trine between the Sun and Saturn brings with it the gift of self discipline and structure enabling us to accomplish our goals in a manner that brings long term security and happiness. Saturn in Aquarius is a gifted observer and encourages emotional detachment to allow a birds eye view of the bigger picture. It is the planet of hard work and long term yield. When in Aquarius, one of its home signs (the other being Capricorn) you are encouraged to review the structures and systems that are no longer working for you.

Saturday 5th June ~ Mercury Rx square Neptune (Gemini - Pisces 23 degrees)

This could be a difficult day as the combination of a Neptune square with Mercury retrograde means that things are not quite what they seem. Beware of smoke and mirrors which serve to impair your judgement. The addition of Mars opposing Pluto retrograde may see challenges from a competitor, stay on your toes as a high level person may try to manipulate you.

Thursday 10th June ~ New Moon solar eclipse (Gemini 20 degrees)

The finale in the series of four eclipses (the first which occurred on December 14th 2020) will present us with a full circle moment regarding events that started in December 2020 in preparation for new beginnings. Solar eclipses magnify our New Moon intentions presenting us with a new expansive horizon of opportunity that may not yet be in our sight line. A New Moon in Gemini encourages us to ask ourselves the right questions so that we may continue to learn, move and go beyond intellectual boundaries.

Friday 11th June ~ Mars enters Leo

Having left Cancer, (the sign where Mars is at its fall) Mars in Leo invites us to be courageous while utilising our charm and charisma to the best of our ability when tackling difficult situations or going after what we want. We will feel driven to lead and may crave applause and adulation for our efforts. During this time it would be wise to keep egos in check so that our awareness of how valuable we are is not misinterpreted as entitlement. While we may feel tempted to perform for the crowd and accept our bouquets it’s imperative to remember that the best leaders act for the interest of the collective.

Sunday 13th June ~ Sun square Neptune (Gemini - Pisces 23 degrees)

When the Sun squares Neptune it alludes to deception and a blurring of boundaries. There may be a situation where someone is trying to present an untrue version of events or a best case scenario. Ask probing questions that allow you to stay grounded, consistent and realistic in your expectations.

Monday 14th June ~ Saturn Rx square Uranus (Aquarius - Taurus 13 degrees)

This is the second of three hard angles between Saturn and Uranus in 2021 (the first occurring on 17th February 2021) which are asking society to decide which traditions and values to keep and where urgent change and disruption is needed. Saturn in Aquarius is a rebel with a cause and Uranus in Taurus asks us to be revolutionary about what stabilises and grounds us. The final segment of this chapter will take place on 23rd December 2021 where we will see a culmination of sorts.

Sunday 20th June ~ Sun enters Cancer

Cancer season calls upon us to feel, care and nurture. It asks us to create spaces where we can form and deepen emotional bonds as well as turn our energy to support the causes, people and places that we love. One of the cardinal signs, Cancer represents the waters of creation and holds all memory of our human story. The breakthrough we are seeking is within our ancestral history. While journeying through and reminiscing about our histories we will without a doubt encounter challenging emotional residue. Be sure to incorporate cleansing rituals within your practice to help you let go of emotional blockages that are preventing you from evolving.

Tuesday 22nd June ~ Mercury goes direct

Although Mercury retrograde officially ends today, much like when you wake up with a killer hangover, it takes a while for the planet to feel like its usual self again. This shadow period of any retrograde (two weeks pre-retrograde and two weeks post) is when the planet is at its most mischievous so don’t rush to launch, sign or purchase anything significant during this time. Mercury will have returned to full strength on Wednesday 7th July.

Wednesday 23rd June ~ Sun trine Jupiter Rx (Cancer - Pisces 2 degrees)

This transit invites us to indulge in luxury and artistic expression. At work, luck and abundance will find you if you show up in an expansive, inspiring and exuberant way. By generating opportunities for others you will find the right opportunities for yourself.

Thursday 24th June ~ Full Moon (Capricorn 3 degrees)

A Full Moon in Capricorn creates safety and security through accomplishing tasks and being a productive member of society. When in Capricorn the moon is at its detriment, often encouraging us to exercise self denial as a coping mechanism to ensure that we get the job done. It is important to recognise the areas where you are malnourished so that you can repair and replenish for the next cycle. Jupiter is sending positive energy to both the Full Moon and the Sun delivering good fortune. Additionally, Saturn’s influence (Capricorn’s natural ruler) will reveal a clear direction for our next steps.

~Rest~
